April's top 5 :)

Here we are again! I totally missed last months top 5 and I apologize, but here I am now!

Enjoy!

1.Venti Hazelnut White Chocolate Mochas from Starbucks
It's become a habit in the morning and it must be reduced to 2 or 3 a week... I like Hazelnut White Chocolate Mochas iced or hot. Grant works at Starbucks and always tells me how much coffee is ACTUALLY in my drink and how its mostly sugar, but I don't care. Sometimes the venti isn't enough, it's a fact. I was sooo looking forward to Starbucks releasing their new cup size. A mighty 33 ounces of delicious coffee. Then Grant rained on my parade and informed me that they will only be serving iced coffees and teas in the 33 ouncers... boo.

2. Candlelight Pressed Powder by Too Faced Cosmetics
I purchased this as a gift for someone else and instead kept it for myself.... ha! It has taken the place of my Make Up Forever HD powder and I am loving it! It has a mild shine to it and leaves my skin glowing without looking oily. It's also very helpful in keeping my make up in place during the day.
$25.00 at Sephora.com  :)

3.Quaker Natural Granola with Raisins
Weird picture. I didn't take it.
Anywho, I got this at Costco a few months ago and fell in love. It comes as a double pack of the one bag you see above and it's soo good! I have had it in my yogurt, by itself from a sandwich baggie and heated in some milk for breakfast. All of which make for a very filling breakfast or snack. I will say it creates a bit of gas, but still worth every bite. The double pack at Costco is $8.99.

4. My Grandma Millie
This would be my dad's mom and the lady I was ALMOST named after :) Hahaha, I have known her all my life and can say without a doubt that she loves the Lord. There is a calm and surety about her that makes our conversations very loving. I have seen her well, seen her stressed and seen her when she was VERY tired... but her obedience to God never failed. Whether she knew the outcome of the situation or not, my Grandma Millie stayed the course and relies on God for her well being any time, any place. My Grandma Millie displays the patience and knowledge of a well seasoned believer and I admire her wisdom. She is married to my Grandpa Edd and they have two dogs; Joey and (ah! I cannot think of the new ones name!)

I love you Grandma and thanks for praying for my life since the day I was born; You really are the best :)

5. Green Apple Air Heads

These remind me of being a kid and walking to the corner store with Sophie and Theresa when we lived in Everett!! They used to be .25 cents a piece and now they are like 45 cents a piece! Either way, I always buy 4 at a time (sometimes more) and hide them from the kids because if Isabel or Todd see them, they are gonners the moment I get them home!! Besides, the kids like Gummy Bears. There is a corner store at the four way stop by my house and I sometimes stop in to get these on the way home from work :)

Enjoy!

XOXO

What a Day of Rejoicing :)

The kids and I had a GREAT Easter Sunday! Well, Isabel and I did and although Toddie was with his dad, I know he had a great time too! I had to work from 6-2 and then was able to go home, change and go to Sophie's for an Easter Egg hunt and then over to the Haines for dinner. Needless to say, by the end of the night Isabel and I were very tired!

Sophie was kind enough to set up an egg coloring date with Me and Isabel for Saturday night. Isabel and Conner are so funny together and even as I blog I am waiting for that little booger to show up so I can watch him today.

We ate pizza, colored eggs and were able to catch up well into the night and it was awesome! Sophie's pregnancy is coming along just fine. She is having a BOY!! I'm not sure if I told you guys that or not, but she is having a boy!! That will make two for her and Grant.... Hahahahahahahaaa! It's funny. If I ask Grant to watch my kids while I run an errand and he already has Conner, he says he will watch only one of my kids because he can't handle three at once. Well there goes Sophie and Grant ever watching my kids when this new kid comes along!!! I hope this new boy comes out with dark hair and dark eyes. Or maybe dark hair and blue eyes. Either way he looks, I just want him to come out now so I can snuggle with him!!!

Hahahaa, here are some pictures from the Easter egg hunt  :)

He is risen! I didn't mind working on Easter because I work at a faith based facility and that means that most of the residents understand the meaning of Easter. Although there were still quite a few residents that saw Easter as any other holiday, I was glad to see the fervor and excitement that the vast majority was excited about a risen Lord :) Although the 8 hour shift was very HECTIC and sad, as a resident passed away, working on Easter wasn't too bad. God's fingerprints are everywhere!

XOXO

Like and Avalanche

On my day off.......

Isabel and I did a whole lot of napping and eating!!

I had one day off this week and Isabel and I spent it together eating home made waffles and sausage links for breakfast, took a 3 hour nap after that and did some laundry. The breakfast was awesome, the nap was needed and the laundry still needs to get put away, but I am in the cleaning mood so that shouldn't be AS dreadful as usual :)

After writing my last blog post I received some feedback that reminded me what I am in Christ. I am forgiven. Christ has known all along the path I would take and has already forgiven me. What a humbling and loving feeling to know the overwhelming grace that comes in knowing and serving God. In my weakness He has been shown merciful and kind. I was so hurt and God came to my rescue and renewed my heart. If you are feeling like your life is in a pit and is only getting progressively worse, God is and has been here with you all along. Every day I get stronger in Christ's love and although I have a long way to go in standing tall, but I have hope :)

On a much lighter note, I have started using a drugstore foundation. The Chanel Matte Lumiere is about $60.00..... so I am having to find something a bit cheaper and easier to get. In order to get my Chanel foundation, I have to go to the Alderwood Mall, and with two kids and their knowledge that the Disney store exists in that mall... it can be dangerous! Watch out!

If you haven't already seen these pictures on Facebook, here are some from our family vacation to Leavenworth!

All those were for you Grandma Millie!! We love and miss you and Grandpa!

Work is continuing on and everything (as previously discussed) is on the mend. The kids are both growing and I just got some information on getting Isabel into preschool!! How exciting! I know she will do so well!!

God is Love,
XOXO
